Argos chooses SupaLoop from Contacta - 19/07/2010
Argos, the UK's leading multi-channel retailer, has selected Contacta to provide its SupaLoop induction loop system to improve the shopping experience of hard of hearing Argos customers. As part of Argos' ongoing store refurbishment programme, SupaLoop systems will be installed in all new and refurbished Argos stores across their estate for the duration of this four year supply agreement.
Argos, owned by parent company Home Retail Group, is committed to equality and ensuring its stores and services are accessible to
everyone. Argos identified the implementation of induction loop systems as key driver for improving the shopping experience of this customer group.
Rob Dargie from the Argos store development team revealed his appreciation for the SupaLoop system, commenting: "The Contacta Supaloop system incorporates a clever sleep facility which is voice activated - this has led to a 65%power saving for each system we have installed and has been well received by our hard of hearing customers."
