Media-T wows visitors at BAA Convention! - 30/11/2009

November sees the annual gathering of the British Academy of Audiologists which takes place at the impressive new BT Convention Centre on Liverpool's Albert Dock. Audiologists from across the UK attend the conference and exhibition to make sure that they are fully up to speed with the latest ideas and technologies in the field of hearing care.
Contacta chose the 2009 event to launch its exciting new Media-T audio visual loop system. The Contacta stand was well attended and visitors could easily see how the new product could help them educate their patients about the benefits they can obtain when using the telecoil function on their new hearing instruments. Its value as a tool for setting up hearing instruments for telecoil use was also recognised.
The conference also gave Contacta's Business Development Director, Andrew Thomas, the opportunity to discuss induction loop and telecoil issues with some of the larger manufacturers of hearing instruments also in attendance. Among them was the UK arm of Phonak which was publicising its commendable campaign 'Hear The World' which is aimed at highlighting the need to protect hearing among all age groups. Andrew and Contacta Managing Director, Simon Thomas, took the opportunity to take part in Phonak's spoof magazine photo shoot.
